UNSAFE BACKING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed William T. Blair, 67, of Prospect Avenue, Massena, for unsafe backing at 11:17 a.m. Wednesday following a property damage accident at the NuWay car wash, South Main Street. Police said Blair was in line for the car wash when he backed up with the intention of leaving the line and struck the front end of a vehicle being operated by James H. Falvey, 70, of Nell Manor Drive, Waddington.

IMPROPER U TURN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Hannan A. Khan, 18, of Amherst Road, Massena, for making an improper U turn at 12:23 p.m. Wednesday following a property damage accident on Main Street.

BENCH WARRANT - WATERTOWN - Village police traveled to Watertown Wednesday morning to pick up Brandy Grenier, 30, of Ogdensburg on a bench warrant for a probation violation as she was being released from the Jefferson County Correctional Facility, where she had been serving a six-month jail sentence. She admitted she had violated the conditions of her probationary sentence from Massena and was released after being sentenced to time served by Acting Massena Village Justice James M. Crandall.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - MASSENA - Village police charged April M. Terrance-Storm, 48, of 31 Talcott St., Massena, with second-degree criminal contempt at 10:13 a.m. Wednesday. She allegedly violated a stay away order of protection when she had contact with her seven-year-old grandson Saturday morning on Talcott Street. She was arraigned on the charge by Acting Massena Village James M. Crandall. He dismissed the charge without prejudice after the court, following consultation with St. Lawrence County Assistant District Attorney Andrew T. Botts, after determining the order of protection filed with the charge did not appear to prohibit Terrance-Storm from having contact with the seven-year-old child. He warned Storm-Terrance she could be charged with criminal contempt after a further review of the multiple orders of protection that had been served on her grandchildren’s review. She told police she believed the order included in her case file was the latest order of protection issued by St. Lawrence County Family Court.

UNLAWFULLY GROWING CANNABIS - MASSENA - Village police charged Wayne M. Storm, 42, of 31 Talcott St., Massena, with unlawfully growing cannabis at 10:28 a.m. Wednesday. Police said the charge stemmed from an incident on Sept. 11 when state troopers were on Talcott Street searching for an individual and noticed a marijuana plant growing on the back porch at Storm’s residence. Troopers shared the information with village police, who made the arrest.
