Agriculture leaders from across the state will discuss industry issues during a public forum from 1 to 3 p.m. today in the 11th-floor conference room at the Dulles State Office Building, 317 Washington St.
The event is part of a series of industry-specific public forums on regulatory reform, held in a bipartisan effort to identify and eliminate costly government regulations. Participants will have a chance to share their opinions with state Sen. Patricia A. Ritchie, R-Heuvelton, along with Sens. Patrick M. Gallivan, David J. Valesky and Kathleen A. Marchione. Mrs. Ritchie, who chairs the Senate Agriculture Committee, said the forum will provide a chance to ensure agricultural leaders opinions are heard.
In total, 10 regulatory reform hearings will be held across the state, with a goal of identifying 1,000 job-killing regulations that can be eliminated. Visit http://wdt.me/Upcpk5 to view a YouTube video of the first hearing on medical technology.
