MADRID — Courtney Bova scored two breakaway goals just five minutes apart late in the first half to lead the Hammond girls soccer team to a 2-1 win over Lisbon in a semifinal of the Dan Rose Memorial Tournament on Thursday.

The game also counted as a Northern Athletic Conference West Division contest.

Hammond (4-1 overall and division) will face Tupper Lake in the title game at 9 a.m. Saturday, while Lisbon (4-1-1, 3-1-1) takes on host Madrid-Waddington in the consolation game at the same time.

Bova tied the game 1-1 with a goal in the 35th minute and she scored the game-winning goal with 38 seconds left in the first half.

Beth Crowley scored for Lisbon in the 23rd minute.

TUPPER LAKE 1,

MADRID-WADDINGTON 0

Lindsay Maroun scored an unassisted goal in the 72nd minute to send Tupper Lake (3-3, 3-2) past the Yellowjackets (1-3, 1-2) in the other Dan Rose Memorial Tournament game. It also counted as an East Division game.

Brooke Dewyea made nine saves for the shutout.

HERMON-DEKALB 3, HARRISVILLE 0

Chelsey Mackay made three saves to lead Hermon-DeKalb past the Pirates (0-4-1, 0-2-1) in a West Division contest in Harrisville.

Brooke Woodrow, Kasey O’Donnell and Bridget Rust scored goals for the Demons (4-1).

POTSDAM 0, MALONE 0 (OT)

Bre Sapp finished with 10 saves to help the Sandstoners (5-0-1, 3-0-1) to a scoreless tie with Malone in a Central Division game in Potsdam.

Jayme Lavoie stopped six shots for the Huskies (4-1-1, 3-0-1).

CANTON 5, OFA 1

Emma Collins scored one goal and assisted on another as Canton defeated the Blue Devils (1-4, 1-3) in a Central Division game in Ogdensburg.

Emily Pinckney, Lauren Smith, Kali Frank and Tori Daley also scored for the Golden Bears (3-1, 2-1).

Alicia Shaver scored for OFA.

PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 4, SALMON RIVER 3

Kodi Perkins scored twice in the final 25 minutes to lead the Panthers (5-1) past Salmon River in a nonleague game in Fort Covington.

Perkins tied the game in the 65th minute and scored the winning goal in the 71st. Brianna Hayes also scored for the Panthers. Parishville-Hopkinton’s other goal was an own goal.

Taylor Francis scored two goals and assisted on another to lead Salmon River (2-3). Kwiio King also scored for the Shamrocks.

BOYS SOCCER

MASSENA 3, POTSDAM 0

Cameron Marsh made 10 saves to help the Red Raiders shut out Potsdam (3-3, 1-3) in a Central Division contest in Massena.

Jason Hammill, Forrest Brockway and Evan Kassian scored for Massena (3-3, 2-2) and Dylan Stone assisted on two goals.

CANTON 3, MALONE 0

Scott Wight made five saves as the Golden Bears shut out Malone (4-3, 3-2) in a Central Division game in Canton.

Francesco Palumbo scored twice to lead Canton (4-1, 3-0) and Josh Huiatt also scored.

SALMON RIVER 3, GOUVERNEUR 0

Nick Hynes, Skylar Thomas and Antoine Domino scored goals to help Salmon River knock off the Wildcats (0-7-1, 0-5) in a Central Division game in Gouverneur.

Zach Smith made two saves for Salmon River (3-4, 1-2).

HARRISVILLE 4, HERMON-DEKALB 0

Jared Dreythaler scored two goals and assisted on another as Harrisville defeated the Demons (0-6, 0-4) in a West Division contest in DeKalb Junction.

Tim Fowler scored one goal with one assist, and Nate Weaver also scored for the Pirates (7-0, 6-0).

Zane Mono made seven saves for the shutout.

MORRISTOWN 7, CLIFTON-FINE 1

Zach Kanaly, Jake Van Arnam and Ryan Vollmer both tallied two goals to send Morristown (4-1) past the Eagles in a West Division game at Star Lake.

Mike Preston also scored for Morristown. Logan Hayes scored for the Eagles (0-6-1, 0-5-0).

LISBON 3, EDWARDS-KNOX 1

Adam Kelley led the Golden Knights (5-2, 4-1) with two goals in a West Division win over Edwards-Knox in Lisbon.

Jake Putney also scored for Lisbon. Jason Burke scored for the Cougars (2-3, 1-3).

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 2, BRUSHTON-MOIRA 0

Garrett Waite made six saves to lead Norwood-Norfolk past the Panthers (0-3) in an East Division contest in Brushton.

Coby Munson and Zeb Brown scored for the Flyers (2-4, 1-3).

PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 4, ST. LAWRENCE 1

Wyatt Snell scored one goal and assisted on two others as the Panthers (5-1, 3-1) defeated St. Lawrence Central in an East Division game in Parishville.

Joey Jacot, Preston Frank and Justin Frank all scored for the Panthers.

St. Lawrence Central (1-3) scored on an own goal.

MADRID-WADDINGTON 1,

COLTON-PIERREPONT 0

Aaron Armstrong scored off a pass from David Odenhahl in the 71st minute to lead the Yellow Jackets past Colton-Pierrepont (1-4-1, 1-3-1) in a semifinal of the Dan Rose Memorial Tournament in Madrid.

It was also an East Division game.

Madrid-Waddington (5-1, 5-0) will meet Hammond in the championship game at 11 a.m. Saturday, while Colton-Pierrepont faces Heuvelton in the consolation game at the same time.

T.J. Gagnon made six saves for the shutout.

HAMMOND 2, HEUVELTON 2 (OT)

The Red Devils (2-2-1) advanced to the title game with a 5-3 win in the shootout after tying Heuvelton in the other Dan Rose Memorial Tournament semifinal, which was also a West Division game.

Brock Tulley tied the game for Hammond with a goal in the 70th minute and Tristen Simons scored the first goal of the game in the 10th minute.

Joe McDonnel and Will Tennant scored for the Bulldogs (1-2-1).

Peyton Frisina, Zach Howie, Tulley, Alex Folkeeson and Matt Martin scored in the shootout for Hammond.

Dylan Liscum, Andrew Streeter and Aiden Scagel scored for the Bulldogs.

VOLLEYBALL

OFA 3, MADRID-WADDINGTON 2

Sky Hoover scored 14 service points, including 10 aces, and added 14 kills to lead the Blue Devils (4-1) to a 23-25, 25-14, 25-23, 24-26, 25-17 win over Madrid-Waddington in a West Division match in Ogdensburg.

Taylor Fisher scored 24 points and Adrianna Compo provided 22 assists for OFA.

Jenny King scored 16 points and Dia Richards added 13 points to lead the Yellowjackets (2-3).

POTSDAM 3, BRUSHTON-MOIRA 0

Miranda Mangual scored 13 service points and added seven kills as Potsdam earned a 25-11, 25-8, 25-7 sweep of the Panthers (1-5) in a nonleague match in Brushton.

Sarah Vivlamore scored 12 points with 14 assists and Elna Daby added 10 points for Potsdam (6-0).
