BURGLARY - MOIRA - A 23-year-old Brushton man was released from the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility late Friday morning, but warrants held by Massena Village Police and Malone-based state police meant he didn’t get to enjoy much of he sunshine and the summer-like temperatures.

Oh sure, there was a nice ride from Canton to Malone with a short stop in Massena. But when day turned into night Barry K. Hill III was still falling asleep in jail.

Village police picked up Hill, 23, of 924 County Route 8, Apt. 1, Brushton, a former resident of Massena, on a bench warrant for failure to appear on a disorderly conduct charge pending in village court. He was picked up by village police at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, where he was being released on another count. He was then turned over to Malone-based state police on a pending burglary charge.

Troopers charged Hill with third-degree burglary stemming from an incident reported at 5:54 p.m. March 24 from the town of Moira. He was arraigned on the burglary count and sent to the Franklin County Jail.

Hill is best known in Massena for a Feb. 4, 2010arrest for two counts of second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree harassment after he allegedly entered an acquaintance’s apartment and she woke up to find him sucking her toes.
