BURGLARY - LOUISVILLE - Massena-based state police charged William J. Arno, 27, of Norfolk and Judith A. Ellison, 22, of Norfolk with second-degree burglary following an investigation into a burglary complaint received at 4:26 a.m. Sunday from the town of Louisville. The arrests were made at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at 492 County Route 39 in the town of Louisville. Arno and Ellison were arraigned by Norfolk Town Justice George C. Grubee and released under the supervision of the probation department. The charges stemmed from an investigation into the theft of rings from 891 County Route 39, Louisville.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION WEAPON - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Peter Adams, 36, of 1570 River Road, Snye, Que., with a felony count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon at 9 p.m. Sunday at the U.S. port of entry in Rooseveltown. Customs and Border Protection officers said Adams informed them during his primary inspection that he was returning home from a hunting trip and was in possession of a hunting rifle. They said he was in possession of a Ruger M77 Mark II .308 caliber Winchester. As a convicted felon, Adams is not allowed to possessed weapons in New York state. He was convicted of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Sept. 5, 1997 in Ulster County. He was arraigned on the felony weapon’s charge by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and released after posting $500 cash bail.

DWI - WADDINGTON - Massena-based state police charged Orval W. Kimble, 64, of 371 Lacombe Road, Norfolk, with driving while intoxicated following a stop at 9 p.m. Sunday at 96 Lagrasse Street in the town of Waddington. Troopers said they had contact with Kimble as they were assisting the sheriff’s department with a domestic dispute complaint.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police charged Jarrod D. Murray, 39, of Fort Covington with disorderly conduct after responding to a neighborhood dispute at 9:58 p.m. Sunday in the town of Fort Covington. The arrest was made approximately a half hour later at 76 Covington Street.
