SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Grant E. Southwell, no age available, of Wooler, Ont., for speeding following a traffic stop at 11:13 p.m. Tuesday on Route 37.

SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Timothy O. Ireland, 50, of Kenwood Drive, Lewiston, for speeding following a traffic stop at 11:13 p.m. Tuesday on Route 37.

UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Marissa M. Orton, 17, of 140 Liberty Ave., Apt. 4, Massena, for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday following a property damage accident at Advance Auto Parts, 351 South Main St. Police said Orton was behind the wheel when the truck lurched forward and struck and damaged the store’s entrance. Police said Orton only has a driver’s permit. Jeffrey A. Guyette, 18, of 87 Martin St., Massena, was reportedly outside the vehicle working on the wiring to the starter, not realizing the truck was in gear, at the time of the incident. When the starter connection was made, the truck jumped the curb and hit the store entrance.
