POTSDAM - Scoring wins in all but one event, the Potsdam Central varsity girls swim team raised its NAC record to 3-1 with a convincing 101-68 win over Franklin Academy at the Clarkson University pool on Tuesday.
Arianna Frascatore and Emma Kroll anchored the Lady Sandstoner cause with two individual wins each while also contributing to the two winning freestyle relay teams. Frascatore paced the 200 freestyle in 2:35.76 and the 400 freestyle in 5:56.43 while Kroll led the 200IM in 3:03.83 and the 100 freestyle in 1:10.7.
Also logging solo firsts for Potsdam were; Emma Visser in the 50 freestyle with a time of 31.21 seconds, Cristy Stoian in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:37.02 and Katherine Blanchard in the 100 backstoke with a time of 1:39.69.
The quartet of Blanchard, Frascatore, Kroll and Visser won both the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay in respective times of 2:11.98 and 4:58.52. Stoian combined with Amanda Dillon, Alexis Peterson and Marissa Brown to open the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:49.06.
Mackenzie Wilson led a 1-2-3 finish in the 100 backstroke for the Lady Huskies (1-3) with her time of 1:33.28.
In the lone other NAC girls swim meet on Tuesday, Canton outscored Edwards-Knox 104-52.
