St. Lawrence Central, Tupper Lake and Brushton Moira earned Northern Athletic Conference East Divison Girls Soccer wins on Friday while the Colton-Pierrepont boys went to Parishville-Hopkinton and came away with a 0-0 tie.

GIRLS SOCCER

Tupper Lake 1, Madrid-Waddington 0: At Tupper Lake, the Lumberjacks produced another one-goal win against the Jackets this season as Lindsay Maroun scored from Elaine Richards in the 25th minute tucking home a goal from 23 yards out into the top right hand corner of the cords.

Brooke Dewyea handled seven shots for the Lumberjackets (4-4, 4-2 NAC East). Marline Bush stopped 11 shots for M-W (2-5-1, 2-4-0).

St. Lawrence Central 3, Colton-Pierrepont 1: At Brasher, Lindsay Thayer figured in all three goals including scoring both overtime goals for the Larries (2-6, 2-4 NAC East). Thayer assisted on Hailie Weegar’s goal in the 34th minute tieing Andrea Aldous’ first goal of the game in the 30th for the Colts.

Thayer scored in the 89th from Megan Greer and in the 94th from Jenna Kesner for St. Lawrence which received 21 saves from Hailey Agans.

Kathryn Miller made 25 saves for the Colts (2-5-0, 1-4-1).

The game was called with just over 4 minutes to go in the second overtime due to darkeness after a lengthy delay following an injury to a Colts’ player.

Brushton-Moira 5, St. Regis Falls 0: At St. Regis, Melissa Cox, Jenna Dufrane, Erike Russell, Ashley DeBeer and Michaela McCarthy scored single goals with McCarthy and Cox each logging an assist for the Panthers (6-1 NAC East). Kendra Mills provided two assists while Meagan Martin added an assist. Ashley Debeer and Morgan Allen each made two stops for the shutout. Sara Brockway made 16 saves for the Saints (0-7, 0-5 NAC East).

BOYS SOCCER

Parishville-Hopkinton 0, Colton-Pierrepont 0: Bruce Avery stopped 17 shots for visiting Colts (1-6-2, 1-4-2) who forged a tie against the host Panthers (6-1-1, 4-1-1). Koby Wells made four saves for P-H.
