Two Watertown residents were charged by city police after they allegedly gave alcohol to a minor Saturday.
Police said Melinda S. Pierce, 21, and Gerald H. Tibbles, 38, both of 535 Olive St., gave the drinks to a 17-year-old at the residence. Police said Ms. Pierce gave the minor a beer, while Mr. Tibbles gave the minor a blue liquor in a tube-style shot.
Both were charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a minor.
Ms. Pierce, charged at her residence at 5:29 p.m., was held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $500 bail. Mr. Tibbles, charged at 7:19 p.m. on the 100 block of Mechanic Street, later was released with an appearance ticket for City Court.
