RECKLESS DRIVING - MASSENA - Village police charged C.A. Rodrigues Jr., 22, of 367 Cook Road, Hogansburg, with reckless driving and ticketed for speed in zone, making a lane change with an improper turn signal and red light violation at 76:37 a.m. Monday following a traffic stop on Route 37. Police said they had stopped Rodriguez for speed in zone (57/30) when they received a complaint from an off duty law enforcement officer that the Hogansburg man had also failed to stop at a red light and had been weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed without signalling lane changes.



PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Natalie H. White, 34, of 47 Lafrance Road, Akwesasne, with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 1:32 p.m. Sunday at the Massena Walmart. White reportedly removed a Straight Talk phone from its packaging and then walked past the last point of sale at the store without paying for the phone, which was valued at $129.99.



INADEQUATE HEADLAMPS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Stephanie M. Lafleur, 42, of Brasher Falls for operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlamps at 11:21 p.m. Sunday following a traffic stop on South Main Street.



STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Robert Coia Jr., 20, of Warren Avenue, Massena, for a stop sign violation at 8:38 p.m. Sunday following a traffic stop on Parker Avenue at Alvern Avenue.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Meaghan A. Boudreau, no age provided, of El Paso, Texas, for speed in zone at 8:09 p.m. Sunday following a traffic stop on state Route 37.
