Heuvelton used two second half goals to break a 1-1 while Edwards-Knox produced a two-goal first-half keying NAC West Division Boys Soccer wins on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs climbed to 3-5-2, 2-4-2 in West play knocking off the winless Eagles (0-9-1. 0-7-0 NAC West) 3-1. Edwards-Knox won 3-1 decision improving to 5-4, 4-4 with a 3-1 decision against Hammond (2-6-1, 2-5-1).
Harrisvilles home game with Morristown was postponed to Friday, Oct. 11.
Heuvelton 3, Clifton-Fine 1: In Heuvelton, seventh grader Noah Steele converted from Dylan Liscum for the game winning goal in the 55th minute and Aidan Scagel redirected a cornerkick from Lucas Brown home for insurance in the 66th. Lucas Brown scored on a cross from Steele after nice midfield work from Cole Piercey and Andrew Streeter got ball to the 30 yardline in the 16th.
DeAndre Croker scored from Alberto Rubio for the Eagles to tie the game at 1-1 in the 23rd. Zach Lashomb made six saves for Heuvelton and Jordan Planty handled 12 shots for C-F.
Edwards-Knox 3, Hammond 1: Brock Tulleys penalty kick goal in the 35th minute for Hammond was answered by Hunter Tuttles game winning goal four minutes later for the Cougars who led 2-1 at halftime. Nic Davis scored the first and fourth goal in the contest as Jordan Jeanette assisted in the 14th for a 1-0 lead and Tuttle assisted in the 44th for a 3-1 advantage.
Richard Finnerty made three saves for the winners. Nick Jewitt stopped 12 shots for Hammond.
