Lois I. Adner, 73, of Sandy Creek and formerly of Lowville and Copenhagen passed away Thursday at Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility in Lowville. Born Feb. 5, 1940 in Lowville, daughter of the late Christopher & Anna Peebles Snyder. She was educated in Copenhagen School. Married to Andrew D. Adner on Dec. 11, 1971 in Copenhagen. They came to Sandy Creek in 1972. She was employed by Howard Johnsons in Syracuse for 20 years and then Sandy Creek Central School until retiring in 2002.

Survived by her husband, Andrew; a daughter, Susan (Stephen) Gray of Copenhagen; two sons, Darwin Elliot of Osceola, Dale Elliot of Parish; four sisters, Louise Allen of Croghan, Doris Makuch of Calcium, Gertrude Williams of East Syracuse, Valerie Larribee of Champion; two brothers, Ernest Snyder of Copenhagen, Gerald Snyder of Copenhagen; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by a son Dean Elliot and 8 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday at Summerville Funeral Home in Sandy Creek with Rev. Linda Taber officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek. Friends may call on Sunday from 4-7 PM at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek. Memorial contributions may be made to RHCF 1st floor, Rainbow Community, Lewis County General Hospital 7785 N. State St. Lowville, NY 13367.
