PARISH — Sophomore Tavis Anderson scored on a 6-yard run with just 1 minute, 10 seconds seconds remaining to give Thousand Islands a 13-12 Section 3 Class C North win over host Altmar-Parish-Williamstown on Saturday.

Quarterback Tyler Gilfus engineered a 73-yard touchdown drive in the final three minutes, then kicked the winning extra point after Anderson’s second touchdown of the day. A key play in the drive was a 28-yard completion from Gilfus to Collin Bourcy.

Anderson finished with 124 yards on 27 carries. Miles Kearns, Troy Hattori and Anderson intercepted passes for the Vikings (2-3, 1-2).

APW quarterback Jarid Paninski had a hand in both touchdowns for the Rebels (0-5, 0-4).
