NNY Bassmasters to host state team championship

The Northern New York Bassmasters II Federated Club wrapped up the 2013 season with back to back tournaments on the St. Lawrence River.

On Sept. 28 the leaders were: first place: Brad Paradis (Ogdensburg) - 22.52 lbs, 2nd place: Richard Garlock (Alex Bay) - 20.53 lbs, 3rd place: Mike O’hearn (Carthage) - 20.26 lbs

On Saturday the leaders were: 1st place: Brad Paradis (Ogdensburg) - 21.48 lbs, 2nd place: Chris Roach (Heuvelton) - 19.18 lbs, 3rd place: Corey Palmer (Ogdensburg) - 17.04 lbs

The top 6 anglers from the club in point totals from the 2013 season will represent the Northern NY Bassmasters Federated Club in next year’s state team championship. The NY State B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation Nation will hold the tournament out of Ogdensburg on the St. Lawrence River and the top anglers from across the State will compete against each other in a club team format. Representing the Northern NY Bassmasters II as boaters in the competition will be Brad Paradis (Ogdensburg), James Moore (Gourvernuer), and Chris Flint (Potsdam). Nonboaters representing the club will be Doug Kirkbride (Beaver River), Corey Palmer (Ogdensburg) and Fred Morrill (Dekalb)

Forty anglers competed in the 2013 season. The final 2013 Standings for angler of the year were: 1st Brad Paradis - 84.29 lbs, 2nd James Moore - 74.69 lbs, 3rd Chris Flint - 73.84 lbs, 4th Doug Kirkbride - 71.53 lbs

5th Corey Palmer - 66.12 lbs.
