GOUVERNEUR — Aleah Palmer scored off of a goalmouth scramble in the 67th minute to help the Norwood-Norfolk girls soccer team to its first victory of the season with a 2-1 decision over Gouverneur in a Northern Athletic Conference Central Division game Monday.

Kim Stewart opened the scoring, and Megan Plumb handled 14 shots for the Flyers (1-9 overall, 1-8 league).

Bell Hall netted the tying goal for the Wildcats (6-3, 5-3). Taylor Andrews posted five saves.

CANTON 3, OFA 0

The Bears received goals from three different scorers as they blanked the Blue Devils in an NAC Central game at Canton.

Emma Pinckney, Megan Rosser and Katie Clemmer provided the goals for Canton (8-3, 6-3).

Jordan Marcellus made seven saves for Ogdensburg Free Academy (2-9, 2-8).

HAMMOND 3, HARRISVILLE 1

Courtney Bova notched a pair of goals the helped the Red Devils rally for an NAC West victory over the Pirates in Harrisville.

Mikayla Horton tallied the game-winner, and Cassie Whalen collected 15 saves for Hammond (9-1-0, 8-1-0).

Courtney LeBeau scored off a direct kick for Harrisville (2-8-2, 2-6-2).

COLTON-PIERREPONT 2, TUPPER LAKE 1

Madison Gregg’s goal in the 45th minuted powered the Colts to an NAC East victory over the Lumberjacks in South Colton.

Hailey Hennessy registered a goal and an assist for Colton-Pierrepont (4-6-1, 3-5-1).

Lindsay Maroun scored and Ryanne O’Connor turned aside seven shots for Tupper Lake (4-7-1, 4-5-1).

BOYS SOCCER

HARRISVILLE 4, MORRISTOWN 0

The Pirates used a balanced attack to down the Green Rockets in an NAC West game in Harrisville.

Colby LaPlatney, Chris Sullivan, Jared Dreythaler and Brendan Best all scored for Harrisville (9-0-1, 8-0-1).

Morristown dropped to 7-2.

VOLLEYBALL

MASSENA 3, GOUVERNEUR 0

Samanntha Villnave served up 18 points and blocked a shot to anchor the Red Raiders’ 25-7, 25-16, 25-9 NAC interdivision win over the Wildcats in Massena.

Krista Loran chipped in another 12 points for Massena (6-5).

Gouverneur fell to 0-11.

MALONE 3, OFA 1

Rachel Lamica generated 19 service points with 17 aces as the Huskies beat the Blue Devils 25-21, 25-12, 19-25, 25-12 NAC interdivision victory in Ogdensburg.

Brooke Peck added 13 service points for Malone (10-0).

Sky Hoover delivered teams highs of eight points, eight digs and five kills for Ogdensburg Free Academy (8-3).

GIRLS SWIMMING

OFA 49, ST. LAWRENCE 45

Susie Morris earned wins in the 100 backstroke and 200 freestyle as the Blue Devils (5-2) edged the Larries in an NAC interdivision meet at Ogdensburg.

Alex Craft paced St. Lawrence (4-3) with wins in the 50 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and the 200 medley.
