WEST STOCKHOLM — State police charged Brooke K. Bogart, 37, of 8877 Route 11, Potsdam, on Monday with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor, and two traffic infractions, driving without a license and imprudent speed.

Police said they responded to a 911 call about 3:17 a.m. that alleged Ms. Bogart had been in a one-car accident on Old Market Road. Upon their arrival, they reported finding her 2005 Subaru off the south shoulder of the road. She allegedly had walked to a nearby residence looking for help.

Ms. Bogart was arrested after allegedly failing field sobriety tests and was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, for treatment of fractured ribs, a fractured collarbone and a bruised lung. She was admitted to the intensive care unit for further treatment. Her condition was not available Thursday night.

Ms. Bogart was issued tickets returnable in Stockholm Town Court.
