There will be a gathering to celebrate the life of Ida M. Mono at the Carthage American Legion Post 789 on Sunday October 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Mrs. Mono died at the Ellis Farm Hospice House on October 11, 2013. She was 83.

She was born on January 28, 1930 in West Carthage, New York the daughter of George and Mabel Courier Gadbaw. She graduated from West Carthage High School. She married Gale Mono on September 6, 1946 in Carthage, NY. Mr. Mono died in 2002.

Mrs. Mono was a homemaker. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Jefferson County. Surviving are her four sons and three daughter in laws Rickie Mono of Watertown, Terry and Eleanor Mono and Gale and Jody Mono Jr. all of Natural Bridge and Rev. and Mrs. Roger and Mary Mono of Carthage, NY. Also surviving is a brother Donald Gadbaw of Natural Bridge, 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Three brothers Bill, George, and Harold Gadbaw and five sisters, Viola Myers, Pearl Woodside, Frances Gebo, Ruth Hill and Dorothy Steria died before her.
