The funeral service for Joseph D. Fleming of 17084 Comstock Road, Adams will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of TLC Funeral Home Inc. There will be a calling hour prior to the funeral from 5-6 p.m on Tuesday. Internment will be private in Adams Rural Cemetery. Mr. Fleming died at the Oswego County Hospital on October 11, 2013.

He was born in Watertown, NY to Cecil L. and Blanche E. Forsythe Fleming on December 4, 1938.

He graduated from Watertown High School. A marriage to Star I. Pierce ended in divorce. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged on August 7, 1956.

He graduated from Watertown High School. Mr. Fleming worked as a paper tender for Brownville Paper Co., was an driver for Allied Van Lines and had also worked for the S. Jefferson School District as a bus mechanic until he retired.

He enjoyed fishing and working on cars. Surviving are his son and daughter in law Daniel and Crystal Fleming of Adams, his daughters and sons in law Mrs. Michael (Tina) Winpenny of Harrisburg, PA, Mrs. James (Elizabeth) Bisig of Mannsville, Tammy Cook of Mannsville and Carol J. Hockey of Ellisburg, NY, a sister Sharon Beam of Rochester, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A brother Cecil Fleming died before him.
