Tony Sands will present his tribute show to Frank Sinatra at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at the Clayton Opera House, 405 Riverside Drive.

Mr. Sands’s multi-media show, “It Was a Very Good Year,” focuses on Mr. Sinatra’s career, from his early years backed by big bands and Tommy Dorsey to his comeback at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

“It’s kind of like a history with some narration,” Mr. Sands said.

Mr. Sands, who grew up in Philadelphia, has performed his “Ol’ Blue Eyes” act in Atlantic City, N.J., Reno, Nev., and Lake Tahoe, Nev.

He does not care for the term “impersonation” when describing his act.

“When I sing it, my voice comes out naturally like his,” Mr. Sands says on his website, www.itwasaverygoodyear show.com/about.html.

Tickets for the Clayton show are $20. Tickets can be ordered by calling the opera house at 686-2200 or by visiting its website at www.claytonoperahouse.com.
