SACKETS HARBOR — Sometimes scary stories are true.

And the ghoulish storytellers in Sackets Harbor are ready again to spread their tales of bloody battles, ghosts, graves, hangings and death. The night will be full of new tales of the terror and mystery and follow the sometimes not-so-quaint village of Sackets Harbor.

The second annual Haunted Walk of Sackets Harbor will take place on the evenings of Thursday, Oct. 24 through Sunday, Oct. 27. The walks will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. A special children’s trick and treat night for younger kids will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Tours leave approximately every 15 minutes from the Red Barn at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield, rain or shine. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students (high school and younger). Refreshments also will be sold.

The Haunted Walk is a fundraiser for the performing and visuals arts programs at the school.
