Cleveland E. Garrison Sr., 91, of 5492 State Rt. 410, Castorland, passed October 12, 2013 at his home.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 15 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville, with Rev. Bruce W. Chapman officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Naumberg Union Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Born on March 30, 1922 in Dallas, NC, son of Bevely Garrison and Eula Pierce, he attended school in Dallas, NC.

He entered the US Army on January 15, 1945 and served in the European Theater during WWII. He was honorably discharged as a Corporal on October 13, 1945 and received the European American Campaign Medal, with five bronze service stars, the American Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

On January 9, 1946, he married Caroline A. Wakefield at the First United Methodist Church in Carthage, NY. Caroline passed in August of 2006.

Mr. Garrison worked as a machinist for the Carthage Machine Co. for a short time. He then worked at J.P. Lewis Company Mill, later known as Boise Cascade in Beaver Falls for 35 years, retiring as a machine tender on September 30, 1985.

He enjoyed woodworking, tinkering around his home, hunting and fishing. He was very active in the cub scouts and a member of the Mullin’s Pond Club in Harrisville.

Among his survivors are his four sons and three daughters-in-law, Cleveland E. and Cheryl L. Garrison Jr., of Beaver Falls, Charles H. Garrison, of Castorland, Randy J. and Linda J. Garrison, of Hurleyville, NY, David A. and Kelly M. Garrison, of Beaver Falls; a brother in law and sister in law, Henry and Carol Wakefield, of Castorland; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Besides his loving wife, Caroline, a great grandson, Michael Garrison, four brothers and two sisters all passed before him.
