MOIRA - The Parishville-Hopkinton Central varsity girls soccer teams relayed the momentum of an early goal into a 3—0 NAC East Division win over Brushton-Moira on Tuesday.

The St. Lawrence County Lady Panthers took the lead just 4:36 into the game on an own goal and that stood as the game-winner. Brianna Hayes made it 2-0 off an assist from Sophie Norman in the 27th minute. Hayes sealed the win by converting from Olivia Collins with 18 minutes left in regulation.

Marlee Wilson handled the seven shots she faced to post the shutout as P-H improved to 10-2 overall and 7-2 in the East. Ashley DeBeer had 17 saves for the Franklin County Lady Panthers ((6-3-3, 6-3-2).

In other East Division matchups on Tuesday, St. Lawrence Central beat St. Regis Falls 3-0 while Chateaugay blanked Tupper Lake 4-0.

Chateaugay 4, Tupper Lake 0: At Chateaugay, the Lady Bulldogs scored three goals over the final 4:42 of the first half to break open a close game. Brianna Cook fashioned the first two goals. Haylee Tower and Rachel Young broke through for the others while Katie Beach drew assists on each of the first three.

Kennedy Boyea was counted on to make one saves for Chateaugay (12-0-1, 11-0) while Brooke Dewyea stopped 16 shots for the Lumberjacks (5-8-1, 5-7-1).
