Elizabeth I. Valin, 92, of Winslow Street where she lived with her granddaughter Erica Miller, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Samaritan Medical Center.Mrs. Valin was born in Redwood a daughter of William W. and Irene Curtis Dollinger. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1939 belonging to the National Honor Society. Her first husband Bernard R. House died in 1958. In 1959 she married Robert J. Valin, he died in 1990. As a young woman, Mrs. Valin was a switchboard operator for Bagley and Sewalls. She was a volunteer, a guild member and member of the congregation of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, a member of the Episcopal Church Women until she was unable to leave her home due to her health. She also enjoyed traveling.Surviving are two sons and a daughter in law; Bernard W. and Eileen, Watertown, Gerald T. and Suzanne Cavallario,Alexandria Bay, NY, eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.A graveside service will be held Friday at 2pm at Brookside Cemetery with Rev.
