WADDINGTON - Massena-based state police charged Justin L. Lafleur, 26, of Massena with fourth-degree grand larceny and petit larceny stemming from an investigation into the theft of a credit card reported at 3:06 p.m. Sept. 14 from the town of Waddington. The charges were filed at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, where Lafleur was being held on other charges.
Lafleur of 400 South Main St., Apt. 2B, Massena, turned himself in on a parole warrant at Sept. 17. He was transported to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.
Later that same week, St. Lawrence County Sheriffs Department deputies charged Lafleur with a felony count of first-degree promotion of prison contraband, a misdemeanor count of second-degree promotion of prison contraband and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He was charged with possessing matches and a partial suboxone pill. He was arraigned by Canton Town Justice Cathleen OHoro on those charges, and bail was set at $2,500 cash
Lafleur entered state prison on March 29, 2012 after being sentenced to two to six years in prison for a third-degree burglary conviction. He had been released under parole supervision Nov. 29, 2012 after completing a six-month shock incarceration program. The maximum expiration date of his sentence is Nov. 21, 2017.
