Over the past several years, the Watertown City Council has been challenged with making difficult decisions on the future of our city.
I feel that as a group they have acted professionally and courteously in their deliberations. I know they listen and take very seriously the concerns of the citizens.
In the next few years, we will see the loss of a brigade at Fort Drum. The impact of this loss will be difficult for Watertown.
Everyone knows the financial support the Army provides for the business community. The council will be instrumental in guiding the city through this transition.
The financial stability of Watertown should always be the main concern of the council, not who is living in your neighbors house or whether we have fluoride in our water or if we need a dog park.
I ask everyone to consider the commitment that Jeff Smith and Teresa Macaluso have given Watertown residents and continue to support them with your vote on Election Day.
