ADAMS — Olivia Barker scored with 25 seconds left in the first half to help the third-seeded South Jefferson girls soccer team to a 1-0 win over No. 6 Lowville a Section 3 Class B quarterfinal on Friday.

Courtney Cavallier assisted on the goal and Jackie Decker made 11 saves for the Spartans (14-1-2), who beat the Red Raiders for the third time this season.

South Jefferson will take on second-seeded Marcellus in the semifinals at a date at time yet to be determined.

Alexis Bach stopped 11 shots for Lowville (14-4-0).

REMSEN 4, LYME 1

Joleen Marfone and Elisha Hamilton each scored a pair of goals as the fourth-seeded Rams beat the No. 5 Indians in a Class D quarterfinal at SUNYIT in Utica.

Brittany Waterbury provided two assists for Remsen (14-2-0), which will take on top-seed Copenhagen at date and time yet to determined.

Lauren Barry scored for Lyme (11-6-1).

BOYS SOCCER

WESTHILL 4, GENERAL BROWN 1

The top-seeded Warriors (16-1-0) got goals from four different scorers as they beat the No. 9 Lions in a Section 3 Class B quarterfinal in Syracuse.

Alex Martinez provided the only goal and Ryan Lamon made 12 saves for General Brown (9-8-1).

FABIUS-POMPEY 3, THOUSAND ISLANDS 0

Tristan Rapp’s two goals paced the top-seeded Falcons (15-1-1) to a Class C quarterfinal win over the Vikings in Fabius.

Sam Ada made nine saves for Thousand Islands (9-8-0).

COPENHAGEN 2, BLESSED VIRGIN MARY 1

Connor Eddy scored the game-winning goal, from Travis Clarke near the end of the first half, to help lift the No. 3 Golden Knights to a Class D quarterfinal win over the No. 6 Saints at Copenhagen.

Breven Jacobs converted a penalty kick to start the scoring in the fourth minute, and Brandon Buckley (four saves) and Robbie Groff (six) combined for 10 saves for Copenhagen (18-0).

Alex Mills tied the game midway through the second half for Syracuse-based Blessed Virgin Mary (14-2-2).
