Watertown, NY – Michael Turturro, 87, lifelong resident of Watertown, died Friday at Focus Rehab and Nursing Center in Utica.
Michael was born September 1, 1926 in Watertown, son of Augustine and Frances Chippone Turturro. He graduated from Watertown High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Michael worked as a truck driver for his fathers trucking business.
He is survived by two sons, Michael F., Rochester, NY and James of Watertown, three daughters Roxanne Turturro, Georgia, Patricia Turturro, Syracuse, and Pamela Turturro, Ogdensburg, three sisters, Christine Thornton and Linda Tamkus, both of Theresa, NY and Shelia Cooke of Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Turturro and a sister Josephine Parrin.
A graveside service will be held Saturday November 2nd at 1pm a Glenwood Cemetery, Watertown, with military honors. Arrangements are with Costello Funeral Service, Alexandria Bay.
