Rehabilitation work is complete on the bridge carrying Route 971V over the Black River in LeRay, according to an announcement from the state Department of Transportation released Friday. The bridge had been closed so the $2 million project could be completed.
The project was a part of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomos NY Works program, and one portion of $33 million in NY Works funding being spent in the north country. The project began in May and included replacement of the bridge deck and approach slabs, guide rail and bridge rail systems and concrete substructure repairs.
