NORFOLK — A cabbage roll sale, a candy sale, Christmas crafts and a raffle will highlight another year of the Norfolk Church of the Visitation Parish Center Fall Bazaar today.

The annual event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church’s Morris Street location. A luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“They will have a country store, candy sale and there will be coffee and doughnuts. Also there are handmade crafts, Christmas crafts and an attic table,” Altar Rosary Society Co-President Patricia Fetterly said. “There will be a food sale with cabbage rolls.”

She noted that the cabbage rolls generally are a top seller.

There also will be a raffle. “There’s lot of different prizes. There’s not just one winner. We had quite a few different items that were donated, both cash and other items,” Ms. Fetterly said.

The Altar Rosary Society is a group of parish women who help maintain the church’s altar while also being involved in the community.

“We donate to various charities within our area,” Ms. Fetterly said. “All the different supplies they need for the church, we provide all of that stuff.”

The bazaar usually is held during the last weekend of October, the co-president said, but, due to a prior commitment, it is on the first Saturday of November this year.

“We use (the bazaar) to help with different things that go on at the church. We give to different organizations like the food pantry; anything, mostly dealing with the children of the parish,” she said.
