Ogdensburg police Friday answered several calls related to high winds.

A utility pole was reported swaying on Madison Avenue. National Grid was called.

Power lines were reported down at Route 37 and Ford Street Extension and Franklin Street and Riverside Avenue. The state Department and Verizon were called.

A tree was reported down on the Maple City Trail.

A tree branch was reported down on Jersey Avenue.


Rachael A. Gordon, 25, of 69 Turner Road, Hammond, arrested Friday at 12:40 p.m. for second-degree aggravated harassment and at 12:28 p.m. on city court arrest warrants for endangering the welfare of a child - leaving a child home alone - and revocation of probation supervision, city police said.

She was released after posting bail.


Candy S. Budd, 44, of 3459 Route 14, Madrid, was ticketed Thursday at 11:10 p.m. for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate headlight, Ogdensburg police said.


Christopher D. Harper, 21, of 8536 Route 4, was ticketed Thursday at 7:40 p.m. at Morris and Canton streets for failure to stop at a stop sign, city police said.


Alton R. Nugent, 64, of 1848 Jay St., was ticketed Thursday at 3:48 p.m. on Park Street for speed in school zone, Ogdensburg police said.
