I write in support of Michael Dalton as he runs for election to continue on the Canton village board as a trustee.
I have known Mike for almost 25 years and am convinced that he is the type of person this village needs looking out for its interests.
How many candidates for trustee have given untold hours (23 years) volunteering in the Canton community?
How many candidates for trustee have dropped what they were doing or have gotten up in the middle of the night to help the residents and students of Canton in their time of need?
How many candidates for trustee spent their entire Sunday recently at St. Lawrence University helping fight the Gunnison Chapel fire?
Did any candidate(s) step up and take a one-week vacation to take command at the SUNY Canton lab fire?
These are just a few small examples of Mike Daltons commitment to the village of Canton.
While Mike is not the only person who has made commitments like this to help our community, he is the only candidate for trustee who has done so.
Mikes dedication is real.
He is hard working and is not afraid to stand up for what is right.
He has been there for so many residents over the years; its time we are there for him and the village of Canton.
Mikes sleeves have been rolled up, and he has been down to business for as long as I have known him.
To quote a recent editorial, It really is about the people with the skills and vision to help make Canton the best it can be.
Michael Dalton is that person.
Please vote for him Nov. 5.
