My name is Alan Wood, and I want to be your town supervisor.

I am a lifelong resident of Cape Vincent.

Most of you know me through dealings with Wood Farms, my 13 years in town government and my 53 years living in the Cape.

For those of you who don’t know me, I am a previous owner and manager of Wood Farms and am the owner with my wife, TracyLynn, of Lake Wood Cottages, a cottage rental business.

What I will bring to the town supervisor’s position is a passion for the community.

I have a strong business and development background as both a large- and small-business owner.

A belief that good government and a concerted emphasis on cost management can have a dramatic and immediate impact of the town and its people.

I believe that all people in the Cape deserve a voice and someone to listen.

I have a desire to see the Cape come back together and move forward.

Whether you’ve been here one year or 80, part time or full time, you should know that the community spirit of Cape Vincent was legendary, something to make us proud.

I want that for you, my family and myself.

I promise that I will work for open government, balanced government, government for you, and government that you can trust.

Thank you for your support on Election Day.
