The Town of Hounsfield will hold a public information session at 7 p.m. Thursday for potential users of a planned Water District 6.
The expansive district would effectively fill out the portions of the town that are not currently served by the five existing districts.
Supervisor Timothy W. Scee said the meeting will cover specifics of the water district plan, such as the route for placing new water lines and the costs of the water district plan.
An initial estimate for the cost of the district was pegged at $13 million. Mr. Scee said the goal is for the annual cost for potential users to be from $800 to $1,000, a figure that includes installation, debt service and quarterly fees.
The information meeting will also be broadcast online at steveweedproductions.com.
