City police charged Joshua A. Markert, 110 Charles St., with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after allegedly starting a confrontation on Factory Street early Sunday.

Police said Mr. Markert attempted to fight multiple people and police officers on the street’s 200 block. First stopped by police around 1:44 a.m., Mr. Markert allegedly struggled with officers and refused to get into a marked police vehicle.

He was held on $250 bail pending arraignment in City Court.
