Motorists charged with DWI, other offenses

The following people are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Richard L. Pierce Jr., 53, of 608 Water St., was charged by Watertown city police after allegedly traveling 47 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone. He also was ticketed for failing to keep right. His blood alcohol content was 0.13 percent. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes intoxication.

n Kathleen E. House, 33, of 111-B N. Orchard St., was also charged by city police with making an improper right turn when she was arrested at 2:50 a.m. Sunday on Goodale Street. Her BAC was not listed.

n Samuel G. Ball, 23, of 10314 4th Armored Division Drive, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies with aggravated DWI at 4:15 a.m. Saturday after being stopped while driving on the Black River Parkway, Watertown, without his lights on. His BAC was 0.18 percent. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

n Edward V. Hodge, 31, of 96518 Butler Loop, Fort Drum, was charged by Watertown police with driving while ability impaired by drugs at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building at 11 p.m. Saturday, with the offense listed as taking place on April 1 at the 800 block of State Street, Watertown.

n Dillon T. Brinson, 19, of Louisville, Ohio, was also charged by state police with crossing road hazard markings and illegally signaling at 2:40 a.m. Saturday on Valley View Drive, Pamelia. His BAC was not listed.

n Charles W. McAllister III, 20, was charged by Potsdam Village Police with aggravated DWI early Saturday. Police said Mr. McAllister was stopped in the middle of an intersection after he failed to stop for a red light. Mr. McAllister’s BAC was 0.20 percent.

n Andrew M. Taylor, 25, of Knox Street, Ogdensburg, was charged by state police early Saturday morning.

Police said Mr. Taylor was driving with a dysfunctional headlight on Park Street in Ogdensburg. Police also discovered Mr. Taylor to be in possession of marijuana. Mr. Taylor’s blood alcohol content was 0.12 percent.

n Shelly L. Consolini, 33, of King Street, Oswegatchie, was charged by state police early Saturday. Police said Ms. Consolini was driving west in the eastbound lane on Route 37 in Ogdensburg. Ms. Consolini’s blood alcohol content was 0.10 percent.
