CANTON - The St. Lawrence County Board of Elections reports Nicole Duve holds a 2,185 - 1,968 lead over Mary Rain in the race for St. Lawrence County DA with 20 percent of the vote, 16 of 81 election districts, reporting.

Those numbers don’t yet include the vote totals from Massena, Louisville and Brasher, towns with a majority of registered voters that are Democrats. Republican Rain carried all three of those towns by narrow margins, according to DCO poll watchers.

Ms. Duve won the town of Norfolk 522-406.

Just 17 percent of registered voters cast ballots in the DA’s race in Massena, and Ms. Rain eked out a 572-567 victory in a town where Democrats outnumber Republicans 3.060-1,786.

Ms. Rain won the town of Louisville 304-297 and the town of Brasher 311-299. There are 576 registered Democrats and 398 Republcians in Brasher and 981 Democrats and 474 Republicans in Louisville.
