POTSDAM The CenterState Corporation for Economic Opportunity, Syracuse, and the Brookings Institution, Washington, D.C., will be at Clarkson University today to announce an economic plan meant to guide Central and Northern New York.
The CenterState Agenda for Economic Opportunity covers 12 counties, including Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence. It proposes a focus on innovative businesses, skilled labor and globalization to help jump-start the regional economys sluggish growth.
Representatives held events Thursday in Ithaca and Syracuse to announce the plan, and will be in Utica this morning before heading to Clarkson as their final stop.
A reception will precede the event at 12:30 p.m., followed by the presentation at 1 p.m.
