Brasher Falls man indicted for child sexual assault

CANTON — A St. Lawrence County grand jury on Thursday indicted a Brasher Falls man in the sexual assault of a child.

Pierre J. Bond, 55, of 44 Union St., is charged with first-degree predatory sexual assault against a child, a class A-II felony.

It is alleged that Bond engaged in two or more acts of sexual conduct with the victim in the last two years. The abuse allegedly started when the child was 7 years old.

State police arrested him Oct. 3 after responding to a sexual abuse complaint at 3:55 p.m. The arrest was made that night at a residence in the town of Stockholm.

Bond was arraigned by Brasher Town Justice John L. Burns and sent to the St. Lawrence County jail, where he is being held on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

In other grand jury action:

Scott A. Rheome, 32, of 1424 Ford St., Ogdensburg, was indicted on two counts of driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI, all class E felonies.

It is alleged that Mr. Rheome had a 0.20 percent blood alcohol content while driving May 29 on County Route 28 in the town of Lisbon. A BAC of 0.08 percent or higher constitutes intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.

Mr. Rheome was convicted of misdemeanor DWI in Ogdensburg City Court on April 21, 2009.

Tami S. Skeldon, 42, of 16 Hillcrest Drive, Star Lake, was indicted on two counts of DWI, both misdemeanors, and two counts of aggravated DWI.

It is alleged that Ms. Skeldon had a 0.10 percent BAC while driving June 20 on County Route 60 in the town of Clifton.

Christopher J. Mitchell, 41, of 774 County Route 53, Brasher Falls, was indicted on a charge of DWI.

It is alleged that Mr. Mitchell had a 0.16 percent BAC while operating a motorcycle on Route 11 C on July 27 in the town of Lawrence. Mr. Mitchell previously was convicted of misdemeanor DWI on May 20, 2008, in Brasher Town Court.

Patrick J. Kennedy Sr., 31, of 411 Main St., Ogdensburg, was indicted on one count of aggravated DWI and one count of driving while ability impaired, a misdemeanor.

It is alleged that Mr. Kennedy had been driving on Ford Street Extension in the city on June 2 while impaired by the drugs tetrahydrocannabinol, carisoprodol and meprobamate.
