ANTWERP-The funeral for Frances C. Catlin, 104, will be at 10 am Thursday at the First Congregational Church of Antwerp, with Pastor Emeritus Kenneth Leamon officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Antwerp.Calling hours will be 2 to 4 pm Wednesday at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa.Mrs. Catlin died Saturday November 12, 2013 in Clifton Fine Hospital Star Lake, NY.Surviving Frances are her two nieces, Peggy Peacock, Wanakena and Mirium Bariteau, Hammond, NY.She was predeceased by her husband, Donald H. Catlin on November 9, 1988, Three sisters Emma Hall, Mary Dickson, Ruth Conkling and two brothers Luther Henry and Stephen Conkling also died before her.Born in Antwerp on November 18, 1908 to Luther Conkling and Mary Robison Conkling, she attended a one room school house in Steel’s Corners, Antwerp, graduated from Antwerp High School and then attended school in Watertown to be a stenographer.She married Donald H. Catlin on September 9, 1940. They resided in Antwerp their entire married life.Mrs. Catlin worked at Borden’s Cheese Factory as a laborer.
