HARASSMENT - WINTHROP - Massena-based state police reported Monday they had charged Matthew A. Amo, 34, of Brasher Falls with second-degree harassment on Nov. 8 at 315 Hurley Road following an investigation an investigation into an incident that was reported to troopers at 9:06 p.m. Aug. 21.



ASSAULT - NORFOLK - Massena-based state police charged James T. Ericksen, 17, of Norfolk and Connor J. Reynolds, 16, of Norfolk with felony counts of assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after investigating an assault complaint lodged with troopers at 10:12 a.m. Sunday from the town of Norfolk. Reynolds was additionally charged wth criminal mischief. He was arraigned by Norfolk Town Justice George Grubee and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. Ericksen was also remanded to the county jail with his bail sset at $1,500 cash or $3,000 bond. Troopers said the two men attacked a 21-year-old Norwood man Sunday morning with broom handles as part of an on-going dispute between the two teens and the Norwood man.



PERSONAL INJURY ACCIDENT - WEST STOCKHOLM - A Montreal woman was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital with a complaint of chest pain following a two-vehicle accident at 1:20 p.m. Sunday on Route 11, at Old Market Road, in the town of Stockholm. Troopers said Sylvie Lavoie, 53, of Montreal was westbound on Route 11 when Danny Shippee, 48, of Theresa stopped at the stop sign on Old Market Road, didn’t see the approaching vehicle and pulled into the path of Lavoie’s vehicle. Shippee was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way when making a left hand turn.
