MASSENA - The Massena Rotary Club and Massena Elks Lodge will co-sponsor their fifth annual Fine Wine and Beer Tasting for the benefit of the Massena food pantries.
This gala event will be held from 4-8 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Massena Elks Lodge on Bowers Street.
Last year, this fundraiser was attended by about 240 people and raised over $6,000, which brightened the holidays for many people. One hundred percent of the ticket sales go toward the local food pantries.
Rotarian chef Tom Gramuglia promises another spectacular array of flavorful hors d oeuvres and specialties including prime rib, roast leg of lamb, roasted Tom turkey, scallops, shrimp, beef tenderloin, pastas, international cheeses and desserts.
A number of local businesses make this event possible such as Walmart, Price Chopper and BJs Wholesale Club and Hannaford with contributions of food and products.
The spotlight will be on the tasting of fine wines and beers provided by High Peaks Winery, River Myst Winery, Winbow, Empire Distributors, Southern Wine and Spirit, A. Cappione Inc. and A. J. Missert under the direction of Denise Laneuville of Orvis Street Discount Wines and Liquors.
Tickets are available at the Massena Elks Lodge or any Massena Rotarian. Tickets are $30 each.
