Canadian music legend Gordon Lightfoot will perform at Rogers K-Rock Centre, Kingston, Ontario, on May 9 during his 2014 tour.

In 1966, Mr. Lightfoot’s debut album, “Lightfoot!,” was released. Tracks such as “For Lovin’ Me,” “Early Mornin’ Rain,” “Steel Rail Blues” and “Ribbon of Darkness” brought him international recognition as a songwriter. Cover versions of his songs have been recorded by Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, Barbara Streisand and Johnny Cash, among others.

His song hits include “Sundown,” “If You Could Read My Mind” and “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.” Lightfoot’s latest album is “Massey Hall Moments — All Live,” a collection of live recordings of the finest performances recorded from 1998 to 2001 at the Toronto performing arts theater.

Tickets for the Kingston concert, which begins at 7 p.m., are $29.50, $49.50 and $99.50. Order online at www.rogers k-rockcentre.com or call the box office at 1-855-985-5000.
