Evans Mills man accused of stalking woman in Watertown

City police charged Stanley R. Kims II, 30, of 2831 Holbrook Road, Evans Mills with multiple offenses after he allegedly stalked a woman in Watertown on Friday.

Police said Mr. Kims drove his vehicle next to Fiona Strife, of Watertown, on the 800 block of Bronson Street, so that he could speak with her. When she walked away from him, Mr. Kims allegedly drove his vehicle around the block, parking in front of her. When she walked around his vehicle, police said, Mr. Kims hopped out, walked behind her and bear hugged her from behind.

Police said Ms. Strife believed Mr. Kims thought she took money from him.

Charged at 4:58 p.m. Saturday at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree stalking, he was released with an appearance ticket for City Court.
