Pair accused of stealing a purse, having cocaine


Two men were charged after allegedly taking multiple items and possessing drugs.

State police said William E. Freschman, 23, of 517 New York Ave., and Devin W. Drysdale, 20, of 10602 5th Armored Division Drive, Apt. 134, Fort Drum, stole a purse from a vehicle parked at 29388 Martin Road, Evans Mills. Stopped as they attempted to drive away, police later found cocaine and marijuana in their vehicle.

Charged at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday on Route 342, Pamelia, with two counts of petit larceny, along with charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana, the pair were given appearance tickets for town of LeRay Court.

Mr. Freschman was also given an appearance ticket for town of Pamelia Court for previous driving offenses.
