Election for Norwood Library Trustees slated for Tuesday

NORWOOD - The Norwood Public Library Board of Trustees is holding an election for new trustees from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdayat the Norwood Public Library.

Terms to be filled are three, three-year terms commencing on Dec. 1, 2013 and ending Nov. 30, 2016, and one, one-year term beginning on Dec. 1, 2013 and ending on Nov. 30, 2014.

Candidates running for the three-year terms are Leonard Halpern, Kathy Hartman and Raelee Simcox. Sheila Burns is running for the one-year term.

A qualified voter is an individual who is a citizen of the United States; age 18 or older; and a resident of the Norwood Public Library District, which includes the towns of Potsdam and Stockholm that lay within the Norwood-Norfolk School district, for at least 30 days preceding the vote.

The library is located at 1 Morton St., Norwood.
