A trio of Fort Drum soldiers will make up a team competing at the Toughest Mudder event today in Englishtown, N.J.

The race, which challenges entrants to complete as many laps of its grueling 5-mile obstacle course as they can, is the culmination of the 2013 Tough Mudder schedule.

Representing the post are Capt. Ross Pixler, a West Point graduate and Silver Star recipient, Capt. Loren Wampler and 1st Lt. James McClare. Also on the team, named “Deeds not Words,” is Air Force Lt. Col. Patrick Wampler, Capt. Wampler’s brother. The Army has teamed up with the international obstacle course competition company to aid its Army Reserve recruiting efforts.
