OPEN CONTAINER - POTSDAM - Village police charged Isaiah L. Barksdale, 23, of Richville with an open container violation at 1:27 a.m. Saturday after police observed him standing in the crosswalk atPierrepont Avenue and Main Street intersection



FORGED INSTRUMENT - POTSDAM - Village police charged Trevor R. Blackwell, 20, of Pittsford with third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument at 2:57 a.m. Saturday on Clarkson Avenue. Police said during acriminal mischiefinvestigation it was discovered by officers Blaclwell was in possession of a forged New York state driver’s license. He was released on an appearance ticket.



SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Katherine M. Rutledge-Danza, 30 of Watertown for speed in zone (46/30 mph zone) at 11:15 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Maple Street.

0143 Patrol observed a chair in the roadway. Chair removed. Investigation continues.

0251 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Clarkson Avenue. A verbal warning was issued.

0257 Patrols dispatched to Clarkson University for damage done to university equipment. During the investigation, one of the subjects interviewed was found to be in possession of a forged New York State driver’s license. Appearance ticket issued to subject.

0800 Contacted DPW for a resident reporting basement flooding.

0851 Potsdam Fire and Potsdam PD dispatched to a fire alarm activation on Market Street.

0900 Potsdam Rescue dispatched mutual aid to Canton.

1008 Property damage accident in Lowes parking lot. Patrol dispatched.

1145 Property damage accident SeaComm parking lot. Patrol dispatched.

1208 Potsdam Rescue and Patrol dispatched to Pizza Hut for a female who has fallen and sustained a head injury.

1343 Report of a property damage accident on Pierrepont Avenue.Patrol dispatched.

1445 Vehicle & Traffic complaint.

1458 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to SUNY Potsdam for a spine injury.

1705 Report of a possible water main break on May Road. DPW notified.

1727 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Main Street. A verbal warning was issued.

1727 Report of a group of “kids” climbing in the dumpster in the Prosh lot. Patrol dispatched.

1835Report of a car vs. deer accident on Rt. 56 in front of Lowes.

2008 Patrols responded to a minor personal injury accident at the intersection of Park Street and Elm Street.

2246 Patrol completed traffic stop on Market Street. A verbal warning was issued.

2253 Patrol completed traffic stop on Market Street. A verbal warning was issued.

2315 Traffic stop. Ticket issued.

Patrol completed traffic stop on outer Maple Street. Katherine M. Rutledge-Danza, (30) of Watertown, N.Y. was issued a Traffic Ticket after patrol observed the vehicle she was operating traveling at a high rate of speed. Radar confirmed speed of 46 mph in a posted 30 mph zone. The ticket is returnable to Potsdam Village Court on December 6th, 2013 at 8:30 am.

2321 Patrol completed traffic stop on Maple Street. A verbal warning was issued.
