Slack Chemical, Carthage, has pledged $15,000 to become a museum partner for 2014 with the Jefferson County Historical Society.
Since 2010, the company, with the help of its president, Robert R. Sturtz, has provided more than $45,000 in support to the museum.
The historical society has been working toward increasing its museum partners, membership and general donations to help cover the cost of operations. According to a news release, the agency operates on a $200,000 annual budget.
