Robert L. Simpson, 83, of N. Syracuse, NY, passed peacefully on November 3rd, 2013, after a short illness. Bob held a commercial pilot’s license and enjoyed camping, traveling, and time with his extended families. Bob was the oldest son of Albert & Gertrude Simpson. Born in Standish, ME, in 1930, he was a member of Quantabacook Masonic Lodge number 0129 in Searsmont, ME. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 3 years, honorably discharged in 1950. Bob brought the family to Chaumont, NY, in 1975. After retiring from Township Telephone Co. in 1990, he and his wife Julianna split time between Chaumont and Holiday, FL., eventually settling in N. Syracuse, NY, in 2011, to be near family.Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years Julianna, brother Richard of Dexter; sister Gertrude (Smith) of Foxboro, MA; son Michael of Bath, ME; 3 daughters- Vicki (Jim) O’Leary of Windham, ME; Tamara of Derry, NH; Kelley (Erik) Anderson of North Syracuse; 2 step-children- John F. Weeks of Colonial Heights, VA, and Dedra Brown of Cicero, NY; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, and his faithful canine companion, Sha-ca.All services are being held privately.
