Strong winds brought down several power lines Monday, leaving more than 300 Jefferson County customers without power. Scattered spots in St. Lawrence County also were affected.

Southwest winds ranged from 25 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph. Additional outages were expected.

Power was restored for 85 customers in Jefferson County on Monday morning and 62 in the village of Sackets Harbor later in the day, according to National Grid’s website. Visit http://wdt.me/GeWERq to view National Grid’s power outage map, which is updated every 15 minutes.

Strong winds were forecasted to taper off today.
